Rockburn Branch Park Disc Golf Course

Rockburn Branch Park spans 415 acres in Elkridge, split into an East Area off Landing Road and a West Area off Rockburn Branch Park Road, and Howard County Recreation & Parks describes it as the county's only public disc golf course. The 18-hole layout is in the West Area alongside ball fields, basketball and tennis courts, a picnic pavilion and a playground, with parking on site. The park is open from 7 a.m. to dusk and, like the county's other general-use park land, has no posted admission fee.

Beyond the developed athletic fields, the county's own description points to wooded terrain, freshwater marshes and stream valleys threaded by roughly 9 miles of trails, so the course mixes cleared recreational ground near the parking and courts with more heavily wooded sections deeper into the park. That combination of open and wooded terrain, plus the length that comes with 415 acres of connected parkland, puts it a notch above a small neighborhood course in difficulty.
