T.C. Jester Park Disc Golf Course

T.C. Jester Park is the everyday heart of Houston disc golf — a friendly 21-hole loop along T.C. Jester Boulevard that predates most of the courses around it. The park opened in 1997 and the layout has been refined over the years since, most recently with a 2011 redesign credited to local designers Derek Lang and Paul Williams that stretched it to 21 holes and away from the short back-and-forth typical of the flat bayou city.

The course plays to a par of 64 over roughly 6,600 feet from the white tees, with a grass long layout for a bigger test. It's mostly flat, lightly wooded and friendly — if you're new to Houston disc golf, this is a sensible first stop, and it's the most-played course in the city with a 4.2-star rating from more than 4,300 UDisc reviews. Free, public and well-amenitied, with water, restrooms and parking, it's the kind of course locals keep coming back to because it's enjoyable, not because it's brutal.
