Lincoln Park Disc Golf Course

Lincoln Park sits on H Street in Blaine, close enough to the Canadian border that one hole plays alongside Border Patrol land. The City of Blaine describes it as a forested remnant of the coastal Northwest — Western red cedar, Douglas fir and big leaf maple grown large over the past century, with an undergrowth thick enough to give the place the feel of an old forest — and lists its built facilities as parking and trails, nothing more. It is also an off-leash dog park, and a network of loops gives walks from a few minutes to more than a mile.

The Whatcom Disc Golf Club maintains an 18-hole course through those woods and calls it technical, with pin positions running from 210 to 486 feet. It is the club's tournament venue, hosting Battle by the Border in early June and Wander the Woods in September, both on the standard layout. Two practical notes from the club: parking is limited, and discs thrown over the fence on hole 14 land on Border Patrol property, where they are collected monthly — do not go after them.
