Brock Park Disc Golf Course sits on a quietly interesting piece of Houston history: the former Brock Park Municipal Golf Course, a traditional ball-golf layout that the city reimagined as a multi-use 'adventure park' and reopened in May 2023. Texas designer Neal Dambra routed the disc golf course over the old golf footprint, making the most of the flat Gulf Coast terrain by threading holes around a central pond, past a creek with sneaky out-of-bounds, and over mounded basket positions that stand in for the elevation this part of the state rarely offers.

The result is the highest-rated disc golf course in Houston on UDisc — 4.3 stars across more than 1,300 rounds. It's mostly open and forgiving on the front, then tightens up on the back nine, where water around the pond turns the closing holes into genuine risk-reward. Because it's a converted golf course with several tee and layout options, the exact par depends on which layout you play; the everyday recreational routing runs roughly 6,500 feet from the longer posts, while tournament configurations extend well beyond that.

It's free and open to the public, sharing the grounds with foot golfers, kayakers and a ropes course, which gives it an energetic community-hub feel. Amenities include parking, restrooms, picnic areas and trails, though there's no drinking water at the course itself. Wayfinding is the most common complaint, so keep the UDisc map handy on a first visit — and plan a morning round in summer, since the open terrain offers little shade.
