Scored for mixed terrain
Davis Spring Special Park is a neighborhood greenbelt in far northwest Austin, at Parmer Lane and Neenah Avenue — inside the Austin city limits but over the line into Williamson County, near Round Rock. Austin Parks and Recreation lists its 9-hole disc golf course as opening in December 2019 and describes it as the newest course in the city's system. The Davis Spring HOA, whose residents pushed the project through with Austin PARD and the Council District 6 office, says the course turned an unused stretch of greenbelt into a course, that John Houck planned it, and that it plays to a par of 32.
It is short by design — five par 4s and four par 3s, none of them long, with alternate tee pads so it works for a range of skill levels. The land mixes open grass with clusters of live oak and a wooded creek drainage, but it is close to 90 percent open cover overall, so wind is the main defense rather than tree lines. At about 875 feet it sits noticeably higher than the courses closer to the river downtown. A central Texas disc golf blog that played it in 2022 called out hole 3 as the shortest at roughly 86 feet, threaded between trees on both sides, and noted the greenbelt is not always closely mowed. It is free and open to the public.
