Bartholomew Park Disc Golf Course

The disc golf course at Bartholomew District Park, in East Austin's Windsor Park neighborhood, is the oldest still-operating course in Texas: Austin Parks and Recreation dates it to 1982 and describes it that way on its own disc golf page. It's 18 holes and free, set inside a 57-acre park that also holds a pool, splash pad, playgrounds, ball fields, and tennis, basketball and volleyball courts.

At a par of 54 over roughly 4,256 feet, it's short and largely open, which makes it an approachable place to learn — though the exposure means wind matters. Tannehill Creek runs through the park. In a May 2022 memo to the Parks and Recreation Board, Austin PARD said the course was seen as underutilized in its current configuration and that it was weighing layout changes alongside stormwater and erosion work along the creek, so check on-site signage for the current routing before you play.
