Circle C Metropolitan Park Disc Golf Course

Circle C Metropolitan Park sits in southwest Austin off West Slaughter Lane. Austin Parks and Recreation, which lists the park under its full name of Circle C Ranch Metropolitan Park, shows the 18-hole disc golf course as having opened in 1992 — one of the longer-running courses in the city's system. It is free to play and open to the public.

The layout runs to a par of 64 over roughly 6,512 feet across mostly wooded ground, with only about a fifth of the surrounding land open, so tree-lined corridors shape the majority of the fairways. The terrain is moderately hilly. That combination of length and tight lines puts it at the advanced end of Austin's public courses, and it rewards accurate placement more than raw distance. Parking, restrooms, drinking water, picnic areas and trails are on site, along with a playground and a dog park. Fall and early spring are the most comfortable months to play it.
