Barfield Crescent Park Disc Golf Course

Barfield Crescent Park sits about five miles south of the Murfreesboro public square, and at 430 acres it has room for a ball complex, seven miles of trails, a campground and the Wilderness Station alongside the disc golf course. The City of Murfreesboro calls the course an 18-hole championship layout, and its published course map puts every hole at par 3 — course par 54, 4,844 feet total, split 2,241 feet on the front nine and 2,603 on the back.

The Murfreesboro Pulse describes the round as weaving through the park's varied terrain: some holes sit in wooded ground with hills and curves around the trees, while other stretches are open and flat. The city's Parks and Recreation Department runs the course with the Middle Tennessee Disc Golf Association, which helps host weekly, monthly and annual competitions there. It's free to play, and the park is open from sunrise to 9 p.m.
