Disc golf in Murfreesboro

Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation runs disc golf at two city parks, and the flagship is the 18-hole championship course at Barfield Crescent Park, a 430-acre park about five miles south of the public square. The city's published course map lists all 18 holes at par 3 — course par 54 over 4,844 feet — and the layout moves between wooded ground with hills and trees in play and open, flat stretches. The Middle Tennessee Disc Golf Association partners with the city on course upkeep and runs weekly, monthly and annual competitions there. Play is free, and the park is open from sunrise to 9 p.m.
