Portland Park Disc Golf Course

Portland Park's 9-hole disc golf course sits at the corner of Signal Mountain Road and Suck Creek Road, at the base of Signal Mountain where the road heads west toward the Tennessee River Gorge. The Chattanooga Flying Disc Club and the City of Chattanooga Parks and Recreation Department installed the course together, according to an April 2011 Chattanooga Times Free Press story that described it as a new find for local disc golfers in a previously underused park. It's a small course, but Outdoor Chattanooga notes trees come into play on every hole.

The course is free to play, open daily from sunrise to sunset, and dogs are welcome on a leash. Unlike some of Chattanooga's other courses, which are maintained by local clubs, Portland Park is run directly by the City of Chattanooga Parks Department.
