Old Grove Disc Golf Course

Old Grove opened in August 2025 at Johns Island County Park, southwest of Charleston, the result of a year-long collaboration between Charleston County, Disc Golf Design Group and the build crew at Find the Line. It replaced the short nine-hole course that had been on the property: several original holes survive, but their angles and flow were reworked to fit an 18-hole routing that now runs about 6,353 feet to a par of 60. The name comes from the property's massive, twisting wild oaks, which shape the canopy over much of the course.

The layout deliberately mixes registers — technical wooded holes and controlled placement shots on one hand, water hazards and a few wide-open driving lines on the other — and multiple tee positions let shorter throwers play a shorter version of the same course. Practice baskets are on site, and kiosk maps are posted at the main park office and the primary parking area. Johns Island County Park is run by the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission, so check CCPRC for current gate hours and park admission before you go. The ground is Lowcountry flat at around 12 feet above sea level; late fall through early spring is the most comfortable stretch to play.
