Timmons Park Disc Golf Course

Timmons Park is a 26.6-acre City of Greenville park at 121 Oxford Street, a few minutes from downtown, and its 18-hole disc golf course is the city's only full-length layout. The park shares the property with a lighted baseball field, courts, a playground, a picnic shelter and a mountain biking trail, and the course plays through the wooded slopes around them. TOWN Carolina describes it as one of the oldest disc golf courses in the Upstate; play is walk-up and first-come, first-served, with no reservation required.

South Carolina's state tourism office describes the layout as short and tight, with elevation on 10 of the 18 holes and fast pin placements set on hillsides — most holes run uphill or downhill, and only a handful sit on flat ground. A creek comes into play on six holes (2, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11), though the water is shallow, and nine of the DISCatcher baskets sit along it. Mature trees shade the majority of the course, which puts a premium on hitting narrow gaps rather than throwing far. The Upstate Disc Golf Club runs random-draw doubles here on Tuesday nights from April through September.
