Pine Nursery Park Disc Golf Course

Pine Nursery Park is a 159-acre Bend Park & Recreation District community park in northeast Bend, between Purcell, Deschutes Market and Yeoman roads. BPRD began outreach and planning for the park in 2002 and acquired the land — former U.S. Forest Service ground that took two Acts of Congress to transfer — in 2004, before building out the sports complex, trails, fishing pond and other facilities that now share the site with the disc golf course. The course itself is 18 holes at par 58, laid out over mostly flat high-desert ground broken up by natural lava rock outcroppings and mounds, with junipers, sagebrush and thick desert grasses lining the fairways and the Cascades and Pilot Butte visible from several holes.

BPRD and local outdoor coverage describe it as one of the busier courses in Central Oregon and rate it moderately difficult: the terrain is flat enough for beginners to get around, but the lava rock and juniper stands force more careful line selection than the elevation alone would suggest, and a full round runs close to two hours. It's free to play and open to the public, though BPRD reserves the course for scheduled tournaments at times, so casual play can be bumped on those dates.
