The Dam Course at Binder Park

The Dam Course occupies about 30 acres along the north shore of Binder Lake, in the northwest corner of Jefferson City's 644-acre Binder Park. The Jefferson City Disc Golf Club built it with JC Parks in 2014, and it plays as a mix of open, rolling fairways with lake views and a handful of shorter, tighter wooded holes that demand a specific line. Multiple pin positions mean the length moves: the club lists layouts from roughly 6,660 feet at par 59 to 7,720 feet at par 63, so there is no single course number to quote.

Elevation runs from about 640 to 690 feet, and eleven of the eighteen holes carry 20 feet or more of change, a few closer to 30. Targets are Innova DISCatcher Pro 28 baskets and the course is cart friendly. JC Parks lists it as free to play, and the surrounding park adds a campground, softball fields, sand volleyball, an archery range, a boat ramp and about 15 miles of mountain bike trails. The city's other 18-hole course, Joseph C. Miller, is a little over a mile away at the south end of the lake.
