Sahm Park Disc Golf Course

Sahm Park is an Indy Parks property of more than 85 acres on the northeast side of Indianapolis, off East 91st Street, sharing its grounds with the city-run Sahm Golf Course and an aquatic center. Disc golf arrived in 1993 as nine baskets with two pads per hole to make an 18-hole round. In 2017 the course was rebuilt as a full 18 with short and long pads on every hole — work the Indianapolis Disc Golf Club credits to Dennis Byrne, Tim Tuttle and Matt Boals.

The rebuilt layout splits roughly in half: nine tightly wooded holes and nine more open, park-style holes, which the club calls the most varied setup among the city's courses for players of different skill levels. Neither the club nor Indy Parks publishes par or total length. The park is open dawn to dusk and no fee is listed for the course; the rest of the grounds include basketball and volleyball courts, a soccer field, covered shelters, playground equipment and trails through the wooded section.
