Tampa's disc golf is coastal and close to sea level — courses squeezed into waterfront and neighborhood parks where the shaping comes from creeks, mangrove edges and dense stands of oak and palm rather than from elevation. Wind off Old Tampa Bay is a real factor on the exposed holes, and standing water is common after summer rain. The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation department runs the courses here free of charge.
