Disc golf in Arvada

Arvada sits northwest of downtown Denver in Jefferson County, on the flat bench where the plains meet the first foothills at around 5,300 feet. The city runs two disc golf courses: the short, busy 18 at Johnny Roberts in Memorial Park, and the 27-hole Bird's Nest layout on rolling pasture out near the Arvada-Blunn Reservoir. Both are free, and both are city-maintained park courses rather than mountain destinations — easy rounds close to the metro.
