Munden Point Park Disc Golf Course

Munden Point Park is a 100-acre City of Virginia Beach park at the end of Pefley Lane, well south of the resort strip, on the North Landing River — a major leg of the Intracoastal Waterway. The parks department maintains an 18-hole disc golf course that meanders through the park, with baskets positioned throughout and several placed out on the finger piers that run into the river. The city's own park map numbers all eighteen. The ground is flat and barely above sea level, so what makes the round is the water and the wind coming off the open river, not elevation.

The course is free; the city only charges a fee if you are hosting a tournament. The rest of the park is well equipped: five large picnic shelters with charcoal grills plus smaller ones, a boat ramp, a fishing area (a Virginia freshwater fishing license is required), three ball fields, three basketball courts, five volleyball courts, three playgrounds and public restrooms. Self-service kayak rental kiosks now operate on site, and an outdoor amphitheater can be reserved for events.
