Creekside Park Disc Golf Course

Creekside Park Disc Golf Course occupies the Creekside Area of Big Cottonwood Regional Park in Millcreek, a 37.8-acre section of the county's three-part regional park along Big Cottonwood Creek. Salt Lake County's parks page lists restrooms, a pavilion, a playground, volleyball courts, and disc golf among the area's amenities. The course was installed in 1982, designed by Ed Headrick, and is one of the oldest disc golf courses still in continuous play. In 2023, Salt Lake County put roughly $200,000 into a renovation that added PDGA-standard concrete tee pads, new baskets, updated signage, and a partial redesign of the layout.

The course plays 18 holes, all par 3s, along a creek corridor lined with mature trees — a wooded, technical round that rewards shot placement over raw power. It has hosted the long-running Creekside Open tournament for decades; a sandstone monument was dedicated at the course in 2004 during that event's sixth year. Salt Lake County's parks page for Big Cottonwood Regional Park doesn't post a fee schedule or hours, so check with the county before a visit if that matters to your plans.
