Mt. Airy Forest Disc Golf Course

Mt. Airy Forest is Cincinnati's largest park — roughly 1,470 acres, established in 1911 as one of the earliest urban reforestation projects in the United States. The disc golf course went in during 1993 as a nine-holer. After the course hosted the 1995 PDGA Amateur World Championships, Cincinnati Parks invested in a full-size layout, and the 1998 PDGA Professional World Championships were played here.

It plays as a hilly, wooded course, so expect climbing and tree-lined corridors rather than open bombs. It's free and public. Unusually for a park course, there's a disc shop on site: The Nati Disc Golf works out of the park's Pine Ridge Lodge, which its founders renovated under a lease approved by the Cincinnati Park Board in 2008. The Greater Cincinnati Disc Golf Association has run the Flying Pig Open, a PDGA B-tier event, since 2000.
