Jaguar Ridge DiscGolfPark

Jaguar Ridge sits in SWAN Park — the Southwest Activity Node, Santa Fe's newest regional park — at the edge of the city where Jaguar Drive meets NM 599. The City announced the project in November 2021, contracted DiscGolfPark for baskets, signage and tee-pad turf, and had community volunteers install the course in 2022. It was the first public disc golf course built in Santa Fe since 2007, and it's free to play. The layout came from professional designer and PDGA World Champion Avery Jenkins, working with local organizer Ryan S. Flahive and city staff.

The 18 holes run across open piñon-juniper mesa on the ridge south and east of the park's ballfield, so the ground itself does most of the defending: scattered juniper, brush and shallow arroyo cuts rather than tree tunnels. There's very little windbreak, and at about 6,300 feet discs carry farther and finish flatter than they do at sea level — two things that catch out visitors more than the routing does. The rest of SWAN Park, a 90-acre site still being built out in phases, brings parking, a ballfield, basketball courts and a playground. The course has grown into Santa Fe's tournament venue, hosting a National Amateur Disc Golf Tour event in September 2025. Spring and early fall are the most comfortable and least gusty months.
