Chippewa Banks Disc Golf Course

Chippewa Banks is the City of Midland's 18-hole disc golf course, laid out along the south bank of the Chippewa River west of Poseyville Road and reached from Towsley Street at Pine River Road. The city credits the layout to Discraft, the disc manufacturer based in Michigan, and describes the course as rustic — the ground here is river-bottom flat, a mix of mown lanes, scrub and stands of hardwood rather than a manicured park. A map and scorecard with the distance for each hole can be downloaded from the city's page, and the rules of the game are posted on the course.

It is free, open year-round from sunrise to sunset, and needs no reservation. The Chippewa Banks Disc Golf Club runs league play if you want organised rounds. The course backs onto Poseyville Preserve and Chippewassee Park, and the Tridge and Founders Crossing pedestrian bridges put downtown Midland within walking distance of the last basket. The city has not published a par or a total length for the course, so both are left blank here rather than guessed.
