Tadpole Beach Disc Golf Course

Tadpole Beach is the disc golf course at Lake Lansing Park North, a 530-acre Ingham County park of woods, trails and boardwalk on the north shore of Lake Lansing in Haslett. It opened in May 2023 as the county's third course, after the two at Burchfield Park south of Lansing. All 18 holes are par 3 and run between 120 and 300 feet, for a par 54 round, played from concrete tee pads to Chainstar Pro baskets. The layout mixes open holes with wooded ones and takes in some elevation change and water; the county's parks ranger told WKAR it was built to be accessible without being easy, and it can hold 72 players at a time.

It is pay-to-play. Adults need a $6 daily disc golf pass or a $50 annual pass, and children 12 and under play free with an adult. That sits on top of the park's vehicle entrance fee, which applies year-round — a combined annual disc golf and vehicle pass runs $70 for county residents and $80 for everyone else. Disc sets rent for $2. The park opens half an hour before sunrise on foot and 8 a.m. for cars, and closes at sunset, so the course keeps daylight hours.
