The Links Disc Golf Course

The Links Disc Golf Course is an 18-hole course through the wooded hills of Wheeler Park in Geneva, maintained by the Geneva Park District. It's accessed from the North Street entrance, with hole 1 starting near the Stone Creek Miniature Golf Course. According to a Geneva Patch report from its 2011 debut, the course was built by Midwest Disc Golf for about $8,000 and completed that July, ahead of an August grand opening — giving the community its first 18-hole option after other local courses maxed out at nine holes. Geneva Park District staff said the design was built around the park's existing pavilions, ball fields, tennis courts and playgrounds rather than cutting new paths through them.

It's free to play, open year-round. Discs can be rented or purchased and scorecards requested at the Stone Creek Miniature Golf Course Clubhouse near hole 1, which also sells concessions. Because the course follows Wheeler Park's natural hills, expect more elevation change over a round than the flatter courses common elsewhere in the Chicago suburbs.
