Tom Triplett Park Disc Golf Course

Tom Triplett Park sits on US 80 in Pooler, just north of I-95 and about fifteen minutes west of downtown Savannah. It's roughly 200 acres of Chatham County parkland built around a 19-acre lake, with a mile-and-a-half lit path circling the water, off-road bike trails, tennis courts, playgrounds and picnic pavilions. Connect Savannah dates the disc golf course to 2004, and the Savannah Disc Golf Club treats it as its home track, maintaining it alongside the county parks department.

The club runs five colored layouts — Gold, Black, Blue, Red and White — that step down in difficulty, with the Gold set coming in just under 8,000 feet. The ground is mostly wooded and technical with water in play, which is why the club's Savannah Open has run here for close to two decades. Hole counts published for the course vary: the county's tourism listings and the city of Pooler describe it as 18 holes, while a 2022 Connect Savannah write-up of the tournament layout described a 20-hole track over 8,000 feet. Par and a single fixed yardage aren't published. It's free, and coastal Georgia's mild winters make it a year-round course — the marquee tournament is held in January.
