Hole 18 — a controlled shot over an inlet of Turkey Lake to a tight green

Known to locals as 'The Turkeynator,' the T2 course at Bill Frederick Park sits on the shore of Turkey Lake in west Orlando. Designed by PDGA Hall of Fame course designer Gregg Hosfeld and opened in 2006, it's one of Central Florida's best-kept and best-regarded layouts, with a ~4.5-star UDisc rating across roughly 3,800 rounds.

The course plays to a par of 60 over about 7,100 feet — longer than a typical park round thanks to a handful of par-4s and a par-5 — and Florida's flat terrain is offset by water off Turkey Lake that comes into play on several holes, including a memorable approach over an inlet on 18. It's well maintained and scenic, and hosts the PDGA B-tier Orlando Open. Note that Bill Frederick Park sometimes charges a per-vehicle entrance fee, so check ahead. As with most of Central Florida, the comfortable months are November through March.
